Orgeat has been almonds since the French invented it, and nobody ever seems to ask why. We live in Oregon — hazelnut country — where the Willamette Valley grows some of the best nuts on earth, so we made the orgeat our home state deserved. Same rich, silky job as the classic, but earthy and buttery where almond is delicate, with a toasted depth that holds its own against serious spirits.
Swap it one-for-one anywhere orgeat goes and the drink turns Pacific Northwest: a Mai Tai built on it drinks darker and nuttier — try it with an aged rum and see which version you defend at parties. It's also the best thing that's ever happened to a morning latte, no drink umbrella required.
Once opened, refrigerate and use within 90 days — unopened, it keeps for two years from the date of manufacture.
