The Jet Pilot is what the Zombie grew into — a mid-century, jet-age descendant, all spice and citrus and smoke. It's a beast to build from scratch because it leans on two of the trickiest tiki ingredients at once: cinnamon and falernum. This mix has both, alongside pink grapefruit and lime, so the hard sourcing is already handled.
Four ounces to two ounces of dark rum, stir or shake over crushed ice, and you've got a drink that tastes like it came off a proper tiki menu — warm cinnamon, a mystery hum of falernum, grapefruit keeping it bright. It's our favorite of the mixers to run without rum, too: a splash in soda water is a genuinely great not-a-cocktail. But it earns its name with the rum in.
Once opened, refrigerate and use within 30 days — unopened, it keeps for two years from the date of manufacture.
