Presbyterian Recipe:

Put ice in a collins glass to the top. Pour Scotch and syrup into glass and stir gently. Add soda into glass and stir again, gently, to avoid defusing the bubbles. Garnish with lemon, or squeeze in some lemon to taste, and enjoy.

BG's tips

You're making a sort of ginger ale with the Wild Ginger syrup and soda water. Remember that for when you're out of ginger ale. It works in a pinch!

Use lemon-lime soda in place of soda water, and you'll get something more along the lines of a Scotch Press.
